I have a 2001 BX2200 and just picked up a 60" King Kutter 3 point finish mower. I couldn't resist the price of 300 bucks for an 8 year old residential used deck. It hooks up to my little BX just fine.

Any problems running a big finish mower off the rear PTO with the little BX I need to know about? I know the BX comes with a 60" belly mower but this is much bigger. Do I have enough HP tyo properly run it without breaking something? I have a feeling it's close to 500 pounds because my little BX barely lifted it out of my truck bed.

Thanks for any advice....Jim

You can pull 350lbs more, than the belly mower would weigh.
Just be sure you run the engine at the proper RPM, which is probably around 2550 RPM. Whatever the max belly mower cutting width is, it's the same for the rear mower. At least it is for mine per the manuel. ....

IMHO, your BX has more plenty horse power to run the aforementioned mower.

You might want to put a few bricks in the FEL of that short-coupled little beast for counter ballast. My BX got real light on the front end just pulling a drag harrow to smooth the driveway. ....
